1. Age:
• Students must be between the ages of 13 and 18 at the time of application.
2. Residency:
• Applicants must reside within the geographic area served by the Foundation (e.g., specific counties, cities, or regions).
3. Academic Standing:
• Students must be enrolled in middle school or high school and maintain a minimum GPA (e.g., 2.5 or higher on a 4.0 scale).
4. Financial Need:
• Preference will be given to students who demonstrate financial need. This may be determined through a review of household income, participation in free or reduced lunch programs, or other financial aid documentation.
5. Personal Commitment:
• Students must demonstrate a commitment to personal growth, education, and community involvement. This may be evidenced through extracurricular activities, volunteer work, or leadership roles.
• Interested students must complete an official application form, available on the Foundation’s website or through their school’s guidance office.
• Essay: Applicants must submit an essay (e.g., 500 words) explaining their educational goals, challenges they have overcome, and how the Foundation’s support will help them achieve their aspirations.
• Recommendation Letters: Two letters of recommendation are required, one from a teacher or school counselor and one from a community leader, mentor, or employer.
• Transcript: A copy of the student’s most recent academic transcript must be submitted.
• Proof of Residency: Documentation verifying the student’s residence within the Foundation’s service area
• All application materials must be submitted by specific date, typically e.g., three months before the start of the academic year or the program’s initiation.
After submitting your application, it will be reviewed by our scholarship committee. If selected for an interview, you’ll receive further communication from us. All applicants will be notified about the results shortly after the review process is complete.
